TurtleDrip™’s Industry Advantages:

Land-Issue Flexibility

  • TurtleDrip™ can be used in areas with irregular terrain—including high water tables, various soil types and steep slopes.
  • Eliminates the need for an unsightly “mound” system.
  • TurtleDrip™ can be laid-out in any configuration, preventing the disruption of mature landscaping or existing buildings.
  • Can be used to solve space issues with failed systems, especially those with land or lot constraints.

Easy to Install and Maintain

  • Drip field goes in quickly and simply.
  • System requires no gravel.
  • The whole system can be configured with as few as three valves.
  • Field doesn’t need to be winterized.
  • The effluent pump is the only power required.
  • Utilizes Geoflow’s WASTEFLOW ® PC drip tubing, which is ½” durable, pressurized polyethylene tubing.
  • Self-cleaning tubing and emitters save maintenance hassles.
  • Extra assurance provided with a 10-year root infiltration limited warranty on tubing.
  • Submersible pump has easy access for servicing.
  • Demand system is based on a micro-dosing timer, automatically pacing dispersal.

A Green Solution

  • There’s no ponding or runoff.
  • Clear, odorless effluent can be recycled to water lawns and shrubs in a sub-surface drip system, or for other non-potable uses.
  • Low operating costs save money and other resources.

Wastewater Effluent Disposal That Finally Makes Sense, Not Problems

TurtleDrip™ Sub-Surface Dosing System

Trends in population growth and water shortages mean builders and developers have to do more with less space and fewer resources. Sound wastewater management is key to any project’s immediate and long-term success, not to mention a critical factor in protecting property values and community water supplies.

Our timed-dosing effluent management system works with the Hydro-Action onsite Aerobic Treatment Unit (ATU) to provide flexibility and efficiency under all types of conditions. TurtleDrip™ makes it possible to dispose of clear, odorless effluent directly into the soil safely and effectively. It replaces a conventional leach field, recycling water and simplifying the dispersal process.

From high water tables to small lots, steep slopes and existing trees—or even buildings—TurtleDrip™ can work around it all, providing new options for areas confronted with failed systems or land constraints. And, in regions with drought and water-shortage issues, TurtleDrip™ offers a smart solution to both user and environmental demands. With a faster and easier installation than other systems, TurtleDrip™ is the clearly the best solution for industry professionals.

How It Works

  • After effluent from an ATU has been treated to less than 30 BOD, the effluent level in the dosing tank engages the on/off float switch, and the micro-dosing timer sends power to the pump. The pump discharges treated effluent (1) into the Cyclone filter (2) where all particles larger than 100 micron are removed and returned (3) to the ATU for further treatment.
  • The filtered effluent then goes to the supply header (4) and on to the drip field, causing each emitter to discharge effluent into the soil, with a portion returning to the dosing tank (5) via the field flush return.
  • The effluent re-enters the system via the flush field valve (6), which is used to control the pressure and flow in the drip field at 10 to 45 PSI. This drip field flush is returned to the bottom of the dosing tank via a PVC drop pipe, prohibiting particles from ever building up in the drip tubing, and preventing bio-matting.

Automatically, every time the pump cycles on, the effluent is filtered, the drip field is pressurized, the emitters disperse effluent into the soil, and each drip tube run is field flushed back into the dosing tank.

Any debris in the Cyclone filter is flushed back into the ATU and a portion of the effluent is recycled back to the pump tank to maintain optimum filter flow. All this happens without any moving valves.
